Fashion for fat still does not get rid of overweight

Now that America is 50% overweight; the fashion designers have jumped in on the bandwagon. This is an attitude change that can capsize your weight loss goals and prevent you from attaining the huge benefits of a normal body fat ratio. Some obese folk are even resorting to fashion consultants. "Red shoes with a dark sea green shirt that goes down to her knees?" Oh, Anita. I say this with a bit of sarcasm, of course, because I am fully aware of the issues regarding fashion and women and how they interplay, and how fat women's fashion is by and large a joke (but has improved dramatically in the past 20 years or so). That said, the big question is, "Why do all women in fat suits dress sloppily or poorly?" This article is for those wanting to start out on a weight loss diet.

I'm kind of inclined to think it's part of the entire "investigation". Dress poorly, and you will be prejudged. But that's true of anyone at any size. Let's get some investigations involving professionally-outfitted fat women and see what happens. Oh, and throw in the phony fat women for kicks. Sure. Why are you resisting dressing for your body type? Not every color suits your complexion. Not every style fits your frame. So why force the issue? You know it will just end in tears before bedtime.

While it is important to feel good in your clothes, you should never dress for comfort or fashion alone. I agree with you! Attitude is everything! Kudos to Oprah! (Yes, I said Oprah!) Yesterday she featured a plus sized woman fed up with dieting and self-hatred who ran through her neighborhood in a bikini! Most of her friends and neighbors were supportive and one gentleman made a comment that he enjoyed it! As E. Roosevelt said "No one can make you feel inferior without your consent!" Oprah or Omphrah is always on diet. Anything goes with her.

If you ignore the body type you see in the mirror or distort it in your mind, very negative things are going to happen for you. You will not look your best. You will be fully and consciously aware of this and therefore your moods are going to plummet to the darkest depths. I wonder has Miss Bikini feels about her self in the small still hours of the morning. You will waste an inordinate amount of time on hunting fruitlessly for fashion that fits and looks fab. All fashions cannot look good on all people, not only when you are overweight.

Folk tend to believe media advertising and get you to think you need what the models and celebrities are wearing because we are convinced by expert marketing consultants that we want these things. Some fashions are downright ugly. They look terrible even on the professional models that are selected to promote them.

We are bombarded with messages both subtle and overt that every new fashion will make us happy, popular, beautiful, youthful, rich, slim...

This is where my believe in imagination will help alter your looks. By not thinking, "fashion" and start thinking "style". Find the styles that suit you and only wear them in colors and patterns that work for you. Once we are prepared to admit that we have a particular body type, we are on the way to dressing for it. If we get it right, even when we are well overweight, we can still look good.

So you can be dressing for your body type and that will add to you resolve of staying with your weight loss program, you have to know what not to wear. The right choice of clothes can slim down your body, create a positive body image and lift your mood.

Do not ever dress in clothes that are the fashion of the day unless that fashion happens to coincide with body shape wears that suit you. Now start the visualization training of seeing yourself slim in your own body type and stay with your weight loss diet 21 days and you will be on the road to successful weight loss.

Only wear colors that look good on you - do not compromise even if an outfit is a good style, the color will ruin it for you if it makes you washed out or clashes with your complexion. If you are operating above your healthy weight range, steer clear of items that draw attention to your lumps and bumps, no matter how comfortable they are. Remember you are altering your mindset for a healthier slimmer new you. You need to embrace all the tricks you can to reinforce your resolve to change your mindset in order to change the way you look.
