Lose Weight slowly

So you want to lose weight The first thing that you should realise is that it will often take a long time to lose weight. a few small steps is al you need to take, forget crash diets.

The first thing you should do is so easy; have your doctor check your thyroid gland sometimes a sluggish thyroid is the reason for lack of energy and the ability to maintain a weight your happy with.

The second thing to do is cut back on the sugar. A lot of people think that sugar gives you energy. Clinical trials have shown that nothing could be further from the truth. Give yourself a treat every once in a while but remember sugar makes you sluggish and converts directly to fat which does not help you lose weight.

Next you should stop drinking soft drinks. Especially diet ones. It's just sugar water. Diet drinks actually have a substance in them called Phenylketonurics which is Phenylalanine, this is proven in clinical trials to increase hunger and causes cancer in lab test animals. Do something easy, just replace it with water You can even get flavoured water without sugar Drink at least 10 cups of water a day to cleanse your body of toxins. If you need a pick me up I suggest sugar free energy drinks which contain Splena (sucralose) a safe alternative to sugar.

The next thing you should do is start exercising in small increments. Start out slowly walking a half mile. If you get tired stop and take a breather. Slowly increase the distance and the speed as you feel like it. Don't go from a half mile to double that in a couple of days. Your body will tell you when to move up. Remember take baby steps. You can also start lifting weights a little at a time. start out with light weights and do a few repetitions and then move up to more as you see fit. Warning! Exercise is addictive! The more you do it the more you want to do it. Because you start to feel better! You start to have more energy! The engine that is your body will become a fat burning machine. Exercise speeds up your metabolism, which is the key to lose weight.

Remember: Don't starve yourself! The engine needs fuel to run. But you should also balance your diet. Cut back on the sweets and the fat. Besides that eat anything you want. It's not about counting calories. It's about calorie quality. I also suggest you get plenty of protein in your diet.
